Goal Zero power stations with a Starlink dish
By Roaming Dish Editors. Specs checked October 19, 2026 on Goal Zero's own pages. Method
Goal Zero's older Yetis have 60 W USB-C ports, too little for a Mini, so they run one from the 12 V socket. The current 6th-generation models have 100 W or 140 W USB-C.
| Model | Capacity | Mini, typical | Standard, typical |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yeti 500 (6th Gen) | 499 Wh | 14 h, USB-C | 4 h |
| Yeti 700 (6th Gen) | 677 Wh | 20 h, USB-C | 5 h |
| Yeti 1000 Core (discontinued) | 983 Wh | 29 h, 12 V socket | 8 h |
| Yeti 1500 (6th Gen) | 1,505 Wh | 44 h, USB-C | 12 h |
| Yeti 1500X | 1,516 Wh | 45 h, 12 V socket | 12 h |
Several of Goal Zero's published runtimes for the older Yeti 1000 Core and Yeti 1500X work out to more energy than the battery holds, so they are left out of the comparisons. The Yeti 1500 page lists "satellite internet" at about 32 hours without giving a wattage.
Hours at each use level
Every port that can run each dish, at the three use levels in the calculator. Mini: email and maps 21 W, browsing and music 28 W, video calls 40 W. Standard: 75 W, 88 W, 100 W.

Goal Zero Yeti 500 (6th Gen)
Around 500 Wh with a 100 W USB-C port and a higher-voltage car socket than most, 13.5 V. Goal Zero's claims for a CPAP and a TV are compared below.
Goal Zero Yeti 700 (6th Gen)
A step up from the Yeti 500 with the same port layout. On a Mini it adds roughly five hours of typical use per charge.
Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Core (discontinued)
Discontinued, but still common second-hand. Its USB-C port is 60 W, too little for a Mini, so the 12 V socket is the way to run one. Some of Goal Zero's published runtimes for it work out to more than the battery holds, so we leave those out.
Goal Zero Yeti 1500 (6th Gen)
The current 1,500 Wh Yeti, with USB-C rated to 140 W. Goal Zero's page lists "satellite internet" at about 32 hours without a wattage, which is in line with a dish drawing in the high 30s or 40 W.
Goal Zero Yeti 1500X
Now sold mostly open-box. Its USB-C port is 60 W, so a Mini needs the 12 V socket, which still gives nearly two days of typical use. Goal Zero's runtime claims for this model exceed its rated capacity and are left out of our comparison.
